Okay, I made 3 (shop time was a rare commodity this year). Here's the first. My bro-in-law had to take down an old (HUGE) oak that was dead and dropping limbs onto his house. I offered to make him a few keepsakes.
These are quick iphone pics. I didn't have time to setup the photo rig between finishing the bowl and giving it to them for Christmas. Stained the rim with General finishes Java gel stain, then tung oil, then butcher block oil (which is really just wiping varnish). One more bowl I hope to photograph this weekend.
