Who are the youngest and oldest members of SMC this coming New Year? I'm in the middle at 50 and think a few people have a day or two on that.

Rich Riddle,

So far you are the youngest at 50 and I am the oldest at 57, but I am certain both records are very temporary, only a post away.

We're probably looking for under 8 and over 80 or 7 / 70.
Both extremes are likely to work with wood, but computers on the internet in such a forum maybe not as much.

Well I just turned 41 so now Rich is out of the running. I'm sure I'll be out quick too.

As my father-in-law says, "you have to age but not mature." For this thread, it's discussing chronological ages.

I'm going to hit my three score and ten in March. I think Wally may be the oldest.

Joe,

It looks like you temporarily have the oldest spot. I am not trying to get into trouble, but some of the SMC staff might have you beat beyond 69 years, just saying...

I am one year and one month shy of 60. Still in the middle of the pack, sort of.

40 is the youngest we have seen thus far? Makes one ponder if woodworking isn't an old man's sport.

I turn 71 on the first. Guess I'm second oldest so far!

I'm feeling really good about this thread now, but I suspect I'm just the youngest paying attention...

I will take the youngster spot at 34. I surely can't be the youngest here though.

I'm gonna knock David out of second place....71 last Oct. But wait! There's more! I am also an early member of the Creek. Does that get me extra points?

PS: haven't heard from George Wilson yet, I suspect he will be right in there.

I think Curtis Rosche (sp?) would beat you if he posts but you've got it so far.
