I have a workbench for woodworking. See it here: http://www.sawmillcreek.org/showthread.php?102856-WorkBench-by-Eric-Brown-Comments-welcome&highlight= But I needed another work bench for restoring tools. So here are pictures of it. Please note that the bench had to be able to be taken apart as I work in a basement. It also had to be long (10') and high (36") but only 24" deep. It needed to be strong but flatness wasn't critical. I used southern yellow pine. It was bolted and screwed together. The three legs were glued. One feature I added was a lip at the back edge. Note that the vice and the buffer are each mounted on boards that go under the lip. They also wrap around the frond edge. This means I can position them anywhere on the top. They are held in place with c clamps (not shown). The boards were put together with through dovetails.
