Found it whilst looking for something else, I tried it recently and it works quite well;
household ammonia, cut 50/50 with water, add a squirt of dish detergent and it works better that the T.S.P. I've been using for years. The soap reportedly acts a surfactant while the ammonia cuts the grease and dirt. It's especially kind to the badges, the tsp washes the silk screening off way too easily. Rinse with water, done. Very economical too!
O.K., so it's not epic news, but for tool restorationists it's an earth friendly cocktail.
