Finally I've gotten around to building a router flattening sled for leveling all of the slabs that I have.
In the past I was doing all of the leveling of the slabs with hand planes which was a lot of heavy work sometimes taking days to do just one slab, now the process is able to be reduced to no more than an hour or so per slab. It's messy and noisy work but I'll take that over having to spend endless hours working with hand planes. I've built the system large enough so that I will be able to flatten an entire table top to a size of 46" x 120"

Nice looking sled John. Where did you get the extrusions?

I seen the one that the WoodWhisperer did in his Video series & alway thought I'd be much easier to build & WAY easier to set-up with those type of AL extrusions . I am planning building one myself outta 80/20 , been buying up there extra overstocks & 2nds on the 80/20 FleaBay store
I have a few huge slabs of 3" Maple & Oak butcher block that I saved from a demo years ago
