Does anyone know where I can get a 3/4" x 27" x 36" Phenolic blank to make into a router table? Jointech has one but it is a yellow color and that is not on my list of colors for a router table top. Yellow?

Just curious. I are you planning on mounting the router right to the top or are you going to use an insert?

I have found phenolic at a local industrial surplus store. Found a 4/3"x36"x48" brown phenolic sheet for $65.00. They have these "scraps" from time to time.

Hi ,
I buy my phenolic from McMaster Carr. They call it garolite and it comes in different thicknesses and sizes as well as grades. A 3/4" sheet in 24x36 in dimension can run several hundred $.
the website is www.mcmaster.com
Take care,
john

Look in your yellow pages for a local plastic supplier and give 'em a call. I found a handful here in Houston that sold "scraps" for not very much. I got several 20"x20" 1/2" phenolic (forgot the type) "left-overs" and paid about $10 a piece for them, they make great router table inserts...
