Looking for suggestions on what finish to use on my new out feed table. Its made of 3/ 4birch plywood with wood hole pugs over the screws and Is trimmed in hard maple. Looking for a finish that will hold up and look good doing it.

If you can use sprayed solvent-based finish, satin pre-catalyzed lacquer.

I used a few coats of Zinsser orange (amber) shellac, rubbed it out w/a green scotch brite then put a couple coats of paste wax on.

I made my outfeed out of some red oak plywood I had.

I covered mine with some Formica, it's been great to work on and doubles as an assembly table that glue comes off of easily.

Slop on whatever old finish you have laying around that needs thrown out...then paste wax.

I like the Formica idea, I'm building a torsion box out of birch plywood and maple. How about the underside, it seems like any time I finish just one side of something it bows.

I have formica on mine and second the others on that as a very functional surface.
