Zach! How many old tool/old trade organizations are you a member of? I think all of them!:)

Lets see...

TATHS
MWTCA
EAIA
SAPFM
Preservation Virginia (not sure if that counts or not)

I think that is all, unless you start talking car clubs, which is off-topic. I have thought about joining the National Association of Watch and Clock Collectors because I do enjoy vintage watches and clocks, but I think my dues load each year is quite enough! SAPFM alone is $60 now (and worth every penny).

I need to join SAPFM. It one of things where I go to the website and say..."Oh, I need to join that", and than I forget. They seem to put out some great content though so I really need to remember to join.

The year-end journal alone is worth the price, let alone the website / free plans. The Prices4Antiques database (which you get access to as a SAPFM member) is absolutely incredible. I am on there constantly, looking for new projects. In fact, that is where I found the original pictures of my spice chest before I found the same piece in Worldly Goods. And the Chapter meetings are great as well. I cannot recommend SAPFM highly enough.

That's a stellar recommendation. That settles it, I definitely need to join. Looks like there is a Delaware Valley chapter near me too. I just emailed my family and told them that if anyone needed any last minute xmas idea's a membership would be great. Otherwise, I'll just join after the holidays...hopefully I won't forget again!

The once-weekly private messages regarding SAPFM membership will commence after the New Year...

"Hey Chris, did you join SAPFM yet? http://www.sapfm.org/join"

I'll extend the same offer to anyone else who needs to be reminded to join SAPFM. Consider it a wake up call.
