Tried posting this this am, but for some reason it didn't work. This is 8 x 2, and made from some DNW i have had sitting around for a number of years. The idea came from a dream i had, of making one for a friend. Woke up and drew up a pic, then went to Google and checked to see what they had. Took a few elements of different ones and this is what it became. The finish is coffee and dirt.LOL yep dirt. Wanted it to look like it has a bunch of wear and age on it. Any way took it to work this am and the man i'm building a house for bought it out from under me. Never sold a piece so fast. O well i bet i can made more.:D277364277365277366277367

Nice work. Would you tell us what kind of coating is on the inside?

Mel as this was the first one, i didn't finish the inside. Now if i was to get a request for one that holds liquid, i would coat it with some thing like a bar epoxy. i don't belive they coated them in the civil war, just let them swell water tite, sorta like a whiskey keg.

Thanks. I've heard of some having things like pitch or bees wax.
