Hi all, I am still trying to find a suitable match for the broken trunnions on my Jet-18. I would be most grateful to anybody who would take the time to measure the trunnions on their bandsaw in the hopes that a different machine might work. Grizzly sent me a set that the bolt holes lined up perfectly, but are to short by 1". So since the configuration on all the trunnions I have seen are the same, I only need to find a set the same size. I am enclosing a tracing of mine with the over all dimensions. Please any help would be great!

Dave, I can tell you that a Grizzly G0513 17" isn't even close. When you say the Grizzly trunion is 1" short, could you add 1" spacers to make it work?

Thank you so much for checking, as for spacers, the radius is different. I can make some wedges that should sort of work but I will not be able to tilt the table. I can still make a table for it, but I would like to fix it right if at all possible. I am still hoping someone out there has machine that I can get parts for that will work or to run across someone who has this machine that they could part out. I know miracles! But you never know. Anyway John thank you for checking for me it means a lot to me.

Dave is this an old model? I would think Jet would ample parts for their saws. I ordered a part for a planer awhile back and it was a non issue. I will check my Grizzz 514x2 later this week if that will help but its a 19" so it would be a long shot.

It is a 1980's model and Jet does not have any parts. They were able to give me a manual which was great. My trunnions are much bigger than anything I have found so far, so maybe a 19" might be the ticket. i would appreciate you checking for me. Thanks!

Dave, My 19" is completely different and much larger. Sorry it took so long to get you an answer...

Good luck in your search, Al

Dave, take your sketch and broken parts to a local machinist and have them make you a replacement. I think you will get what you need and the price might be as much as you think. I don't know where you are located, but I know a shop that does good work near me.

Thanks for the tip, the one from Woodworking is the same size as the Grizzly (1" too short) and the other one, is for a newer Jet, wrong bolt holes and I believe is also too small for my machine. I have been Google-ing, Binging, Yahoo-ing and every other ing I can think of for two weeks. All to no avail yet. But I really do appreciate the suggestions and Ideas, keep they coming I am sure to find an answer.

I unfortunately live on the left coast (praying to change that) and I have not yet found a machine shop that can help, still looking though. I did talk to a guy on the right coast who can make them for about $300.00. They would be unbreakable, but I would like to find a cheaper solution at this point. Again I really do appreciate your suggestions.

Which trunnion did Grizzly send you? Every trunnion for 17" and 19" bandsaws all have 4 bolt holes, but yours have 3.

I don't know if this will work but what if you just bought the part the trunnion sits on (whatever they're called) and make whatever modification to your frame as necessary to make it fit? This might be easier than trying to find a machinist who will make one for any reasonable price...

Your trunnion appears to be the same design as the one used on my 14" delta BS, but the Delta is smaller as you can see in the attached photo. 277766 Perhaps a larger sized Delta BS would have larger trunnion castings?

It is the same design here are pictures of one of them mostly together.277775277776277777

Grizzly sent me Part # P1012050 from a Grizzly G1012. They are 1" short, but the bolt holes are in the same locations and it is exactly the same design.

Dave, I hate to get you in even deeper with Grizzly, but if those new trunnions bolt to your table, have you considered buying the matching trunnion support bracket from Grizzly. It looks like its around $40 and will probably still be your cheapest option.

That too is an option I am considering, still hoping to find a better match as this is a cast iron table 18.5" x 18.5" and larger trunnions would probably be more stable. But thank you for the suggestion.

I don't know any 18" bandsaw that has anything other than a cast iron table... I'm sure the original Grizzly bandsaw in question had a cast iron table too.

Again I really thank all of you for your suggestions, but what I am hoping is that one of you will will have a machine that has the same size trunnion that is from a bandsaw that I can still order parts for. So what I am asking is for someone who has a larger bandsaw 16" to 20" to measure their trunnions to see if they match. If I cannot find a match I will:
1. Go to a machine shop and have them made. Or
2. Order the mount that goes to the Grizzly trunnions I ordered. Or
3. Make some myself. Or
4. Build a table myself.

So could someone please measure their trunnions and see if we can find a match. Thanks!

Looks like the same as the 17" HF saw, which was the exact same as the Grizzly 17".

Oh. I was hoping that they were referring to older cast iron saws.

Just spoke to Ron at Woodworking Machinery. The ones he has are the same size as the Grizzly one I got. It looks like I will have to go to step two! Lee is getting me a quote from a machinist friend to make them, I will post when I get the quote. Thanks everyone for trying, it matters to me that you tried to help!
