Does anybody know the best way to go about lasering these? Will they leave a ash gray when done or do you have to go thru the coating to the blade material?

Thanks, Jeff

I run them twice and wipe them clean.

What kind of power settings? I get a very dull finish and nothing like the bottom knife in your picture.

Thanks, Jeff

The flash caught the bottom knife.

I use 40% speed and 100% power at 300DPI.

Try a lower power maybe....it sounds counterintuitive, but I can get a brighter result on some items by doing successive passes with decreased power settings.

Thanks. I tried low power at first, like a AR lower receiver and didn't get to much for results. Time to give it another shot.

We engrave Kershaw knifes for a customer a couple times a year. I find vector engraving is the only way to get a reasonably good mark with our 30W. I run it at 100pwr and 20 speed.

I have used my Newing Hall with a diamond to mark them.
