"So what… are you going to make one of these every year now?" she asked.
"Yes" he answered.
"That's so like you" she said, "Everything has to become an obsession."
He said nothing, smiling quietly to himself, already thinking about how to do the next one. He had a whole year to work it out.


So this is my second Christmas ornament. While I was looking for a gold bead, I spotted these little gold filagree pieces. They had a kind of snowflake or maybe a Christmas tree look. They also nested together nicely so I used them to encase an ebony bead.

Well, now.............ain't this a nice surprise. I like it.......a lot! Unusual bulb form and exquisite icicle/finial with the beads. The color choices you have made are really complimentary and bold.........stand out stuff likes bold colors. Very feminine in form. This is a keeper for sure.........nicely done, David!

Not a bad idea....

My old favorite... Fiebing's Leather dye. Technique learned from Steve Schlumpf and John Keeton. First dyed black. Then sanded to remove most of the black which really makes the figure pop. Then the colors, in this case two shades of red with a light sanding in between.
