I bought a new leeson 1.5 HP motor for my table saw that was supposed to be already wired with a plug (it was not). Normally this is no big deal but when I opened the plate I found all yellow wiring. After looking at the instructions and attempting to find the correct one for this particular motor, I'm at an empasse and need the Creek's expertise. HELP! I'll try to post a phone pic. THANKS!

How about posting the instructions you have to see if we can help?

Thanks, Rod.

Rod- I'll try to get them but they are at a different locale! It may be tomorrow...

How many wires is it? and is it dual voltage?

If there all the same color they may have little tags on them by number. If so just follow the numbers on the plate.

Thanks for the suggestions... all the wires are yellow and there's no diagram that I can find on the plate. Attached is a picture (I hope)

The rightmost wire seems to have a "77" on it. I have encountered a motor where each wire had a printed id on the insulation.

Ruperto-
It's probably a 'T1' or 'T7'

I think I figured out how to post the PDF as a JPG

Okay- I've got the diagram up but still don't understand all the symbols. I would like to wire it for 115...

Thanks for any help!

Mark, here's how to wire it for CCW rotation

White wire (neutral) connect to T2,T4,T5

Black wire (line) connect to P1

Join together P2, T3, T8 do not connect to anything else.

If you need clockwise rotation swap wires 5 and 8.

Hope this makes sense............Rod.

I'm a bit late posting… In the wiring diagram, follow the horizontal column that corresponds to the direction of rotation you want in the LOW VOLTAGE section i.e. 3rd or 4th line of the wiring table. There are two clusters of 3 wires to be connected together and a single connection on one side of the 110 V line [L1, L2 being the 110 volt supply] I think there must be printing on the leads to help identify them.

Wow! Thanks for the help guys... Rod, that's the way I thought it would go but I really didn't want to wire it up wrong and blow a $300 motor! Thanks for all your help! I'll work on getting it up and running as soon as I can.
