Folks,

I picked up a used EX32 60W engraver. When I bought it I knew that the laser was getting weak. I'm going to have it re-gassed or go with a new laser conversion from Epilog. I'm curious if there is any reason to stay with the Coherent tube that is in the machine currently?

Thanks,

Tim

That is likely your least expensive option unless Epilog has one of their own that will work. If the prices are too steep you can try http://photovaclaser.com/?page_id=2

My Coherent tube is 7 years old and in daily use so I have no complaints with Coherent.

When I had my 32ex 60 the replacement cost was 3800.00 plus core of 1200.00, Photovac wanted 2600.00 but you had to send them your tube to be regassed, that process was about 4-6 weeks.

Epilog dose make a replacement now but you have to replace the RF as well, as of this morning the Coherent tube is 4500.00 plus the core or the replacement tube is with RF is 3200.00 plus the core of 2700.00.

I believe there is a discount if you send your core in advance.
