Corel X6 Text Issues

I need a Corel expert to tell me what I'm doing wrong - I haven't had this issue before...

Typing a lot of text for some plates and either the Type case will change after I leave text mode ("MP" becomes "Mp") or "(C" will become the copyright symbol after I leave text mode. I know what I want to type, but Corel keeps trying to correct something I don't want corrected.

Go into Tools, Options, Workspace, Text and look at Quick Correct. That's where those problems are. You may also want to double-check the Spelling option as that can add stuff to the QuickCorrect section.
