This is a 12" tall mill I made from the cut-offs from the last batch of mills I made. Woods are Cherry, Maple, and Walnut. I use Crushgrind mechanisms. Some might call me frugal but I just cann't bring myself to through out any wood until its shavings.

Great use of scraps, Mike! Neat pattern you were able to put together with those as well.

You ought to offer some kits , those look as good as the ones the gentleman from Isreal (that makes the funny sounding ones) does ...

Very nice. I do not always like collages of woods. You did a fine job.

That looks great! Well done. I too have trouble throwing out the scraps...

Hi Mike :), that mill looks good, but how long is this going to stay together you expect ??, in the meantime it is a beauty  :D

I think you're giving the rest of a good reason to hang on to scraps! Great looking mill.

Thank you all for the kind words. Leo, I have a similar mill I made about 8 years ago. It looks just as good today as when I first made it. With today's glues as long as you keep the grain going the right direction these things should last a long time.

Love it! You should see my 'scrap' bin. I think some people call it a floor....

This winter my scraps get bigger and bigger and go into the wood stove. Very nice PG by the way.

If those were just the scraps I would like to see what you made with the rest of the material. Crazy nice piece!

I'm confused. What are scraps?

very nice. I have used cutoffs to make rolling pins, but I rarely plan a pattern, now that I see how impressive a result of what you just did, it will be on my agenda to do.
