Router bit sharpening question

i have several sets of rail and stile bits that need sharpening can they be sharpened and still leave a tight fit i know you will need to do both at the same time

If they are the kind that can be shimmed then yes but you must change the shims. If they can't be shimmed and not too much is removed when they are shapened you might still have an acceptable fit.
