ok i finally have 220v being dropped into my shop after saving up more then i want to spend to get it done :( with that said i was planning on getting a excalibur guard in that i love the quality of the sliding table from them but now that i am spending an extra chunk of cash going out for the 220v drop i am debating on getting the PSI (penn state) guard. i still need a sander combo too :) so maybe a few bucks towards that fund.

a few questions:

1) can the excalibur guard be mounted from the ceiling?
2) is it really worth almost 3 times the price of the PSI?
3) i am thinking about locking vs floating on either guards so movment off the guard over the wood isnt as critical, at least i think?
4) i am looking at each on amazon which appears to offer the best price any other place to check?

i plan on using the $40 delta splitter on my right tilt uni if that matters too?

any comments would be appreciated.

thanks

I don't know about the Excalibur guard, but I purchased the PSI guard from Amazon a couple months ago. I mounted it from the ceiling, adapted the plastic shield so I could hook it up to 4" flex hose and it works great for me.
