Hi,
I am a near-retirement age, novice turner who wishes to increase my skill set. I am proficient at pen turning, have a complete, beautiful woodshop (including Nova DVR lathe, SawStop cabinet saw, etc) but lack the skills and confidence to move forward with the type of projects I wish to be able to do. I am looking for a skilled woodworker with patience who is willing to visit my shop or has their own shop and is willing to occasionally help me become proficient with my tools. I would first like to increase my wood turning skills. While so many on this forum give advice freely share their expertise, I wish to pay for your help as there are no local clubs or schools within 50 miles of home. Please feel free to PM me if you are interested. Meanwhile, I will keep puttering away! Having a tutor will accelerate the learning curve.
