Thought I had my Christmas all settled but daggnabbit I got an email from Wenzloff and Sons this morning. They have (maybe had) a few 20" Kenyon Seaton pannel cc saws come up available. I'd almost given up getting on matching my Kenyon Seaton rip pannel saw. It'll be a great Christmas if the wife doesn't kill me ;)

I see their website now says they are nearly caught up on orders, and in time will reactivate the ability to order. I'm very hopeful for the renaissance of Wenzloff and Sons...if we are lucky they will offer parts again and if we are very VERY lucky they will start selling folded backs again.

This is good news indeed.

Hope you get your Christmas wish Tony. According to the website it looks like they dug out a couple in mahogany that they made a while back and never listed for sale. They look gorgeous. Wenzloff sells great stuff!

Tony: I got my present last week from Mike. I happened to check on his site just when he updated and listed the Mahogany Kenyon 'Pannel' saws, I ordered it immediately and it came in last week, it sure is beautiful. I was finally able after 4 years to fill out my set of Kenyon saws. Congratulations. I have found out that once you reach a certain critical mass of saws, say 30 or more, the wife can't tell when a new one has joined the flock. It kind of gets lost in the crowd.

Fortunately for some, many wives don't have great machine or tool recognition. Mine is a craftsman. No problem. We were at a used tool dealer, when a kindly old man asked her what a rather obscure machine was. She replied "It's a press, unless you think i'd be to stupid to know since I'm female!!" She can be a bit nervy at times,to say the least. It actually was hard to tell what the machine was. It was a special shop built production piece.

Once at Cabin Fever,we were looking at a nice model of a Bridgeport milling machine about 12" tall. She said "Where's the brake?" I shushed her as I didn't want to embarrass the model maker's considerable efforts!! She had used my Bridgeport mill, and knew how to stop it!!:)

Lucky dog. Those are some nice saws.

I'd love to get a panel saw from Wenzloff, but he's been so backed up I wasn't sure if they were making saws anymore.

Me too Adam but I was fortunate to have put my name on the 'email me when available' list. Probably should have hesitated but I didn't and got one. From the website, it seems hopeful that they'll have more stock available soon. Glad to see them back if so.

Thanks Graham and thanks (I think) Chris lol.

Sweet saw. I (sadly) had to pass on a deal on eBay for two matching Kenyon saws. We are buying a house so I really couldn't spend $700 right now. I love those saws; certainly one of the most beautiful saws out there.
