Prutton Hand Plane..?

Bought another plane for parts on line, what was shipped was not what I bidden on.
What I spent was a little over two dollars+shipping which was real low, but have not ever seen this plane before or one like it.
Lever cap says Prutton and the blade in a diamond shape symbol says DHP.
Does anyone have a clue to the maker, or any history on the Co.?
