I am considering buying a planer/molder. I am looking at doing a bunch of molding replacement in my house and want to manufacture my own moldings. I have looked at the Shop Fox and it seems to offer what I want at a price which is reasonable.
Any words of wisdom regarding this unit, molders in general(difficulty in use, choice of materials, kniife configuration and cost etc.) would be greatly appreciated.
By the way, I own a Shop Fox hollow chisel mortiser, a Grizzly 1023 cabinet saw and a Grizzly 1019 band saw and am very happy with their quality .
