Looking for a source to buy 4x8 sheet of plain sawn or quarter sawn 3/4" plywood. Got last sheets from Denoon (south east OH) - but are 3 hours away.
Only place I can find close by orders it from another dealer and tacks on more mark-up and waits on a large enough order size.
Thanks

How close to the Youngstown Ohio are you? Baird Bros in Canfield (close to Youngstown) sells various species of cabinet grade plywood both flat sawn and quarter sawn. I think you are about 2 1/2 hrs away 5 hr round trip,

They have top quality materials. I think they make their own plywood.

As George said, Baird bros. I bought a sheet of QSWO a few months back and was very pleased with it. The veneer was a little thinner than originally thought but still nice. I'd buy from them again.

No affiliation with them.

How far are you from Lewistown, PA.? I've gotten plywood from these guys in Reading -- good stuff. 1" oversized in each dimension and it stays flat. What a revolutionary idea! :)

THE place to get plywood is Boulter Plywood. http://www.boulterplywood.com they are outside Boston. They ship to me in the Caribbean so shipping to you would be easy for them. One sheet, however, might not be worth the cost. My sense of distance and time are skewed from living on a 12 mile Long Island but they look close enough to PA for a daytrip. They also sell lumber. Maybe make the trip and stock up on all your needs. Their specialty is marine ply and marine lumber.

Thanks for the contacts.
I am about 1hr-45min from Canfield OH so not too bad. However the 200+ miles round trip in the truck would be about $50 (darn diesel $$).
I can get a sheet of plane sawn for $90 at a local saw mill so to make economical would need to get at $65/sheet for 2 sheets at Baird Bros.
Is that possible ?
