A Rockler email

Just arrived – a supply of seasoned oak lumber reclaimed from the decks of tractor-trailer trucks that travel across our country every day. This rugged lumber features rustic gouges and a deep, dark patina, making it ideal for tabletops, distressed furniture, signs, and other creative uses you may have up your sleeve. The boards are 12" wide, 72" long, and 1-1/4" thick. They do have metal inclusions, so using a Lumber Wizard or other metal detector to identify the location of metal pieces prior to use is recommended.

Rustic gouges?

Well, if they said:

"We've got a whole pile of beat up oak with nails all over the place", they'd have to follow it up with "Free!".

Cute how they try to sell you a Lumber Wizard while they're at it! LOL. :D

They must have used vintage forklifts to move the pallets.

They are shameless: their Facebook post about this says,

... from trucks on Route 66!

I worked at a truck shop for awhile and got some super nice oak and purpleheart decking. It really is straight grain and not as beat up as you would think! Ready-made cutting boards!
