Can I put regular strong-backing sandpaper on a combo sanding disc, using spray-on glue? I am assuming when it is time to change I can just pull off and clean with mineral spirits?

Anything I am messing up by doing this?

I know the disc is cheap but I am trying to keep moving on a project without going to a store today.

Thanks

I have done it with 3M spray adhesive. Just use an adhesive that will not lose integrity due to heat and torque. In other words, not a "crafting" adhesive. Before you prepare to spray, go to the computer and order some more discs :D:D:D. Klingspor's outlast the BORG, Peachtree, Grizzly, HF discs like 5 to 1.

Sprayway 66 adhesive from Klingspor is what I use to attach my 12" disks. With PSA, I can't change grits without losing the disk.
