I am in an urgent need to get CW5200 chiller or something similar. I am working a on a very larger order which requires cutting nearly 6 hours every day and my CW3000 cannot cope with that. Any ideas where I can get a portable chiller within the next few days?

Have you checked with -----LOGILASE?

Khalid,

The CW3000 is rated for 50 watts MAX, using it on an 80 watt tube will stress the tube as fatbody tubes aren't designed to be run above 23 degrees before early failure or loss of tube life.(the CW3000 is a basic fan blowing ambient temp air over a coil)

Quick results can be had from a decent aquarium chiller running via a tank and 10 litres of water. Or a quicker get-by can be a BIG tank (like a 205 litre rainwater drum) and a pump with sealed bags of ice dropped in every few hours.

Above all though, don't run above 23 degrees or you risk taking hundreds of hours off of the tubes expected life.

cheers

Thanks Dave for the insight. I observed a big deterioration in cutting performance of the machine as soon as the temperature rose above 23.

And Tony, thanks a million. As usual you gave the solution straight away. Logilase has the CW5000 in stock and I can just drive there and pick it up. I am just going to wait for a day to see if I can get a CW5200.

void the 5000 if you can Khalid, it has some design flaws :( the 5200 is a far superior piece of equipment.

Just picked up the CW5000. Needed to get this immediately. If I had more time I would have opted for the CW5200. If I am able to go manage my order with this then it would have paid for itself.

Dave and Tony thanks again for your support.

Khalid,

Did you try the other place I told you about (Motiontech)?
It looks that they moved to Newmarket from Scarborough.

Tony,

I did call them up and they don't sell chillers.

Thanks
