has anyone here turned any blue mahon or tineo. I've just seen and turned some in the last year or so. sorry about the typing mike--I,ve been restricted to 1 finger for a long time and now due to some hemobibas in joints I can't even capitalize--just won't reach.

I had a piece I got from the Woodcraft in Cleveland I used it as rings in some turnings.( just 3/4"flat )But I ask them about more and was told they can't get it any more,has something to do with it only growing on an Island in the Caribbean.
I'd like to get some turning stock of it ,it really is beautiful.

It,s pretty wood--blue to green and cuts good. Very pricey--the national tree of Jamica and a Hibuscus to boot. I know a source if you ever want some. Pm me if you need any info.
