I just ordered a G0696X 12", should be here first part of this week and wondering how you like yours since there is hardly any info on the internet for the model I odered. Your likes, dislikes?

I've had one for the last 4 yrs. It's a GO605X

It has been a flawless machine up until a month or so......
The electronics developed a gremlin, and the digital readout has started adding degrees.
And every once in awhile I have to hit the rail switch multiple times to shut the saw off.

Tech support was helpful, but not exemplary.

I made a few mods to my saw.

Cut the dc out to 6" and it made a BIG difference

Mounted a i-gaging digital readout for the blade height, (a waste of time :o)

Mounted board buddies to the stock fence (a big help)

I cut ALLOT of wood, and the saw has the hp to take it.
I would buy it again in a heartbeat!

You can PM me and I'll set up a phone call or personal email if you like.

Thanks Aaron that's exactly the kind of feedback I'm looking for. Looks like you are building something in volume there. I have a cyclone dust collector but have read the Grizzly's 4" to 2.5" dust port design isn't the best. The thing is with a zero clearance throat plate if they have it all sealed in a shroud and you can't get airflow due to the zero clearance throat plate choking it off up top I don't see that working too well. I think it would be better to have it open below and swirling around while moving lots of air. I see you also have a overhead dust collector.

Regarding the electronics I figured they were of marginal quality. A fence DRO would be more useful to me and I may try to find one of higher quality, a depth DRO would also be useful. Is the I-gaging just junk or did you just find that you didn't need it? That off switch is a safety issue imo, I saw some of those switches up close at the wood working show today in Portland they look like junk switches. Same with the switches in my new Grizzly 19" band saw, compared to industrial quality switches they look cheap. I don't sweat electrical much I scratch build guitar tube amps so I'll just swap in higher quality switches. For the price of the Grizzly I expect some cut corners on stuff like that. The Powermatic equivalent is nearly twice the cost so I could do a lot of upgrades for the price difference.

I'll shoot you a PM with my email address.

Thought I would ad one more picture,
This is where my problem is coming from, the under cabinet 220v mag switch.

I should have my problems solved today.
Using my Bosch jobsite saw as my shop saw right now :(

Aaron, I've found the Grizzly mag switches, at least those on my older machines, to be very reliable. I recently had the problem you describe on my 26 y/o G1023 table saw. After a careful cleanout the switch, it's back to crisp operation. Sounds like you run a lot of material through your saw, so four years could be long enough to have this happen. Let us know how you finally resolved this.

UPS freight finally arrived, I finished work for the day and just had dinner and now I'm heading out to uncrate the beast. Ahaha the label says "Fragile"...I doubt that.

tick tock, tick tock...........

well?

I'm waiting on casters  it took them 5 days to throw some casters in a box and ship them. ETA now Monday. I'm contemplating going with some lesser urethane casters rated for 700lbs that I sourced locally so I don't waste the weekend waiting. The saw is 640lbs though. I could go with these 700lb casters its not like the saw will see a lot of travel and if it comes to it at some point I can swap them out later. I can use the better casters on a mobile out-feed table or something.

That said here are some pics...

Okay I found some urethane casters rated for 960lbs at Rockler today so I can work on assembling the saw this weekend after all! :)
