Trying to find out when they were made. Currently have both a #4 size, with a "rubber" adjuster wheel, and looks like a Stanley. The other one is a #3DBB that looks like a Millers Falls #8. Even down to the model number stamped into the side. Has a large, steel adjuster wheel, but brass nuts to hold the hardwood handles. Any ideas on when these were made? The #4 looks like it was back in WWII, not sure about the #3DBB one..

According to this (http://home.comcast.net/~alloy-artifacts/craftsman-early-tools-p4.html) and other sources, Sears registered the Dunlap trademark in 1938 (replacing the Companion brand for economy tools) and used it into the 1950's. The manufacturing contracts went to various companies over the years.
