I have a dead Synrad UC-2000 controller. I've tracked the problem down to what appears to be a single bad IC. Unfortunately, when the chip died, it charred itself, so I can't read the number.

Would anyone here who has a UC-2000 be willing to pop the cover off and read me the chip number? It's a simple matter of unscrewing the 4 feet.

The chip in question is U6.
It has 8 pins, and the part I can read is marked:

TC1xxx (I think it's TC14xx, but it's hard to read)

Looks like the chip is less than $2, and is readily available. However, there are many variations, and I want to make sure I get the right one.
