Ok my new table saw arrived today and what a beast. I did not have any help after the driver and I got it off the truck so once I got it off the pallets and on the slab I had to call it a day.

One very long skid

Actually a liftgate and forklift. The skid was simply too large for the liftgate. It required balancing half of the skid on the gate and half on the forks. Now the worse part is that it will have to sit a few days before I can get back to cleaning and assembling.

These next days will be rough indeed. How did you spec it? Looks like lots of room for a long slider and the outrigger looks substantial. Are you setting it up yourself? Looks fun, congrats!

Ok so it's been a long work day but I wanted to post the remaining pics from yesterday. The skid the machine was shipped on was broken so the shipper placed it on top of another long pallet. After forking the skid on each end I was able to remove the added pallet with a little twisting.

After twisting the skid with the forks to rotate the saw so I could access the lift points, it was a piece of cake to lift the saw up and remove the skid.

after rotating 180 I did not have enough room to approach the load from a 90 degree angle to place it in its final resting spot. I am picking up a CL pallet jack Sunday morning and will move the saw about 5-8 feet forward.

Once that is done ...the Cosmoline party starts. Woo woot!
Here is the slider packaging. It did not make the journey as well as the skid. After opening the box I did not see any visible damage on the bottom. I won't get a chance to inspect the top until I get a couple of friends over to help me lift it out of the box for assembly.

All in all I would say my saw made it half way around the world in pretty good shape.

Thanks Steve. The saw is pretty much stock. It is single phase electrical I think the actual rating is 4.8Hp. The only option I needed to purchase was the small mitre fence assembly. I am definitely lucky enough to have plenty of room for this beast. I still have some tool placement to work on and from the photos you can see I still have DC to setup. I think my QF piping is visible in the background of one of the pics. I have been using a temporary roll around solution while I was waiting for this tool to arrive. I just got my CV1800 mounted in the corner of the shop Thursday night so it will be closest to the saw, j/p combo and drum sander. I have a very good friend that is going to help me with assembly and setup. Good friends are worth their weight in platinum and then some.

After connecting the SO cord and applying power

Still need to fine tune the fence system and get the dc run.
