Hi.
Is it possible to repair the veneer sides of a pool table? How do you go about clamping the 8 foot long sides of veneer?

Bob, have you considered disassembling the Pool Table. That would give you the opportunity to do a much better job. Also, the sides usually stand proud of the framework, see if c clamps would fit in there far enough.
As a last resort, I would either iron the veneer on (glue veneer and substrate let dry then use iron to reactivate glue while applying) or get a phenolic or paperback and glue with contact cement.

Earl is correct, they should be removed. I rebuilt an old AMF and used laminate on the rails....came out terrific!
