This is some of the prettiest wood I have ever worked with. Deep chatoyance that really doesn't show with my photography. There is a small bowl from the same piece, but the photo blurred.

pretty stuff, Brian......Jerry has some beautiful wood, it is also very hard, you did a good job on that one

Very nice. You can see the roots outline. Did you find this Mesquite dulled your tools more than normal? It looks like some of the wood showed signs of having some silica trapped in the wood that you find in the lower sections often. That area would be the upper right section of photo 1
