Anyone know the standard units on an SCM shaper mechanical spindle height readout? The graphic seems to show 2mm per full turn but I can't seem to calculate accurately what each unit of the readout is.
Thanks for any insight,
David

So are mine. Last red digit is 1/100. Dave

2mm per revolution is a very common unit for Euro machines.

if you put an Imperial gauge on it, it will be some weird decimal value per revolution, which is why on my machines I use the metric gauges........Rod.

Okay, that helped, same as referenced the last red digit is 1/100. Full turn = .08 or 2mm. Now to get my brain to convert 1/100 to a fraction I'm used to dealing with 64ths, 32nds etc. I probably have to make a chart and post it.
Thanks for the help,
DS

I'm hoping that some day santa will bring me a proscale for my shaper. Have not been that good though, so I better stop thinking about it.
