Check that the screw holding the bearing on your pattern bit is tight before you start using it!
Things got a little exciting tonight when, about 90% of the way through trimming a piece using a plywood pattern, the bearing and the bit parted company rather violently. Ruined a $30 piece of wood but retained all of my digits. The price of an education I guess...
