New posts Search timing out

I don't get on SMC over the weekends sometimes, so by Monday Lunch time I can have 8 to 9 pages when I hit the new post button. If I spend around an hour reading through, I can click on say page 6 and I get a mesage there are no new posts. I then hit the new posts button again I can get the 8 to 9 pages page back. Problem with this is any new post posted while I have been reading will be missed since I don't go back to page 1. It appears as if something is timing out, not sure if it is SMC issue or my companys network.

I think the timeout is around 45 minutes... after that, it's as if you've been here forever. My technique for getting around it is this:
1) Hit 'new posts" button
2) Scroll to bottom of page 1 and click the next page
3) Repeat step 2 until I'm at the last page
4) Starting at bottom of page, begin reading threads of interest
5) As you get to the top of the page, press the back button
6) Repeat step 4 until you have no more threads of interest
7) Repeat step 1 until there are no new posts to read
8) Close tab or go to another website
