speedy 300 door open

ok. so I opened the front door and used magnets to fool it to cut a large piece that would not fit with doors closed. Now that I have removed the magnets and closed the door it won't work. It keeps telling me the door is open. Any ideas how to fix this? did I screw it up good? thanks Tami

You may have induced magnetism in the switch by use of a magnet too powerful, a GENTLE tap will fix it IF it is a physical problem (ie: something is stuck) but if it's electromagnetic you will need a demagnetiser to reduce the magnetic properties of the switch.

Failing that most switches like these are cheap to replace :) ($5 maybe)

so far I put the magnets back on and it works. door shuts too. go figure.

Not that I would recommend this... but I have "heard" of people who leave magnets on all the time and/or who have removed the magnet switches and have them laying in the bottom of the laser with magnets. just sayin...
