I've never had a wr plane in my hands. they look pretty good in the pics, and seem to review well enough, and probably are doing continuous product improvement, I just can't justify the cost compared to vintage planes. I also enjoy fettling. I'm happy that there is enough market to support modern makers .

I helped a Woodcraft employee set up his Woodriver V3 Jack (he is a turner). It was a reasonably good plane. Even without sharpening, I could get a reasonable cut. I'm not going to trade my LN smoother for it, but it was surprisingly good.
