lumber near Geneva NY?

Today I wanted to buy a bit of hickory, just to see if I could stain it to look like butternut. The nearest shop I know of is an hour away. Any suggestions for someplace closer would be appreciated.

Thoroughly incentived I found a piece in a scrap pile, but can't count on being so lucky.

Www.lakeshorehardwoods.com has an outlet in the Pittsford area, on east side of Rochester. Also checkout Danby Hardwoods near Ithaca.

Lakeshore Hardwoods is in Victor (see link in Jerry's reply above). Pittsford lumber is on the south east side of Rochester and has a great selection but is a little pricey http://www.pittsfordlumber.com/ and Bristol Valley Hardwoods has a good selection and prices http://www.bristolvalley.com/.
