Reporting hotmail abuse

Lately, I have been selling some construction related tools on craigslist for a widow that I know, and I have been getting lots of the garbage responses from hotmail, So, I decided to do something about it.

I've been forwarding the emails to the hotmail people:

report_spam@hotmail.com

Who knows what they do, but I've gotten responses from hotmail in each case. It only takes a second, and maybe it will cause a little pain in the buttocks for these individuals.

Unlikely (and unfortunately). Spam is tagged based upon multiple factors, including originating IP, number of identical emails, whitelists/blacklists, etc. It would take a large number of people flagging the same message to get noticed, and that also means there have to be an even larger number of a specific email (or mail form a specific domain) to get flagged as true spam. It's unlikely the number of tool emails is very large in the grand scheme of things. Viagra, on the other hand, well, that's a tool of another sort...
