Hello All:
I need to face glue two pieces of pre-finished plywood. I don't know for sure but the finish is likely some kind of poly. Sanding off the finish is something I'd like to avoid. What glue would you recommend?
Thanks,
Jim

How large is the surface area?

There is a web site called "thistothat" (easy to find) that chooses good glues for many different surfaces. They recommend Household Goop (silicone) or epoxy for plastic to plastic. Contact cement or Liquid Nails should also work.

Bonding prefinished to prefinished will extend the clamp time .....overnight or longer depending on temp

I just did an entire kitchen where we had to glue prefinished boxes to each other to make up long runs. We used polyurethane glue, regular old Gorilla glue IIR, worked like a charm. We glued up test pieces first, couldn't break them with a hammer and pry bar. Epoxy would work, but there's the mixing, the cost, the mess. IME the polyurethane is actually less messy in terms of squeeze out than epoxy in this case. If you go epoxy make sure it is properly thickened, right out of the jug its too thin for this sort of work.
