I have a Hurricane Laser Agnes. The warranty just ran out and the air compressor died. So I have decided to try and do some special modifications to the system. I've been planning these for a bit. I'm going to rig a relay on the power supply so that it can turn on the water chiller when the laser is powered up. That part is rather easy. The hard part is going to be getting the air compressor and exhaust fans on when the laser is activated. I plan to replace the compressor with a tanked one. Hopefully this will cut down on the noise output. I'll need an electronic valve to turn the air on and off. I'll also need another relay to run the exhaust fan. The problem is the signal to turn them on and off. In theory, I can use the Blow Off signal to turn these off and on. Here comes the sticky part. I have the documentation on the MSP6515 controller that is in the system. It is... well lacking. Before I design an entire opto-isolation system, I'd like to know more about the current limits of this output. Some documentation seems to indicate you can just plug a relay into it but I don't want to burn anything up. Anyone have better documentation on this board? Seems fairly popular.

I have this manual already.

Check this out http://www.rabbitlaserusa.com/Manuals/ConnectingSecondaryAirAssist6515.pdf

The mod is provided in detail on the Rabbit Laser USA website for MP6515 controller.

Thanks! just what I needed. I figured someone had done it before.
