Looking at the Incra 1000se miter gauge. Is this a decent miter gauge? Looking for a precision setup to do some box joints. I am thinking that the miter gauge will serve more purpose than the Ijig. Any thoughts?

The 1000 SE is an excellent miter gauge, although I like the 1000 HD even better. I use both.

I agree with Chris...... I have the 1000 HD and I am well satisfied with it.

1000se user as well.

I love it, adjusts nice and tight to the miter slot, can use a T slot or standard.

I would like to get a longer stop? bar for it. So I could set my flip stop for longer cross cuts.

I'd buy it again in a heart beat.

Thanks guys. Will I have any issues/challenges setting up a jig with the 1000 to do box joints?

The fence has a T slot on the front. It is very easy to attach jigs to it.

I have the 1000hd and love it. I plan on buying the 67 inch fence someday. I can buy it for 60 bucks from incra.

I have the least expensive of the bunch, Incra V27 ,it does more than what I expected from a simple mitre gauge, very accurate, well built.no regrets.

If you can find an older Jessem miter guage buy it. Just make sure it was made in Canada not the US. They are built like tanks and are very accurate.
