Ha! made you look...

I am making lamps lately and have been having problems with poor quality 3-way lamp sockets. Anyone have a known good supplier they would care to share.

BTW: I have tried to find a "USA" made 3-way socket but it seems there are none.

I'd like the answer to this, too. At least one leg seems to go bad on all of them.

Jim,

On the cheap side, Cherry Tree, www.cherrytreetoys.com (http://www.cherrytreetoys.com/), 1-800-848-4363, sales a standard 3-way brass socket for $1.50, item # 47-122.

On the expensive side, Van Dyke's Restorers, www.vandykes.com (http://www.vandykes.com/), 1-800-558-1234, sales a 3-way ant. brass turn for $4.99 (6/more for $3.99), item # am-02006019, and the same in brass for $3.89 (6/more of 3.49), item # am-020001369. In addition, Van Dykes sales a whole bunch of lamp parts that would go along with the sockets.

I have not used any of the above but Van Dyke is known for selling top quality products and if nothing else, get one of their catalogs. Full of good information.

Regards, Joe

These are a little pricey at $10.99, but I've used a few and so far they seem to be good.

I order them from Jalenes in Florida (Jalenes.com), but they probably are available other places.
