A new venture I'm a partner in, developing high-end, Mid-Century-Modern items, just premiered in Palm Springs. I wanted a nice clean method to deliver information about a sculpture so a QRcode came to mind. I color filled white acrylic and floated it on a pedestal just above river rocks. The top was removable so the base could be buried beneath them. A Cermark engraved stainless steel plate was also affixed to the lower-back of the sculpture. Everything came out very professional.

Very nice work and good concept. I've done QR's with laser sublimation on FRP which produced a similar look.

I wonder if a reverse engraved acrylic color filled would work just as well.

Thanks. I tested a laser printed QRcode behind clear acrylic and it did not work as well as black on white. I'm sure the reflection was getting in the way. The look of the code I did lent well to the retro design of the sculpture.

Very cool, Doug... the sculpture itself isn't my style, but I love the thinking on how to mark the display.
