Looking for source of long cedar boards in Tacoma, Wa

A buddy is starting to build a cedar strip canoe and would prefer to have long strips rather than scarf or butt join. Four quarter rough sawn or 3/4 planed would work great for him but ideally would be 17 to 18 feet long. Any help would be appreciated.

Might start with this list (http://www.glen-l.com/resources/lumber-suppliers.html#WA) Bear Creek Lumber (http://www.bearcreeklumber.com/species/wrcedar.html) lists Western Red Cedar (the kind of cedar often used for strip-built canoes and such) on their site. I didn't see it at Edensaw but they might.

I don't know anything about boats ,I do know that some of the good woods commonly sold as cedar are not true cedars .if you are making a modern fiber glassed canoe that might not make any difference . If you are making something real traditional you should find out the Latin botanical name of correct wood and buy accordingly.
