I got an HVAC 7" to 6" reducer thinking I could use my existing 6" pipe. The 7" reducer is exactly the same size as the Gorilla inlet. What did you use to connect to your Gorilla? Where did you get it?

I used 30" of straight 7" pipe....fit perfect.

I agree with Andy. The Echoles cyclone has a "straight away" leading into the actual cyclone. I am told that the purpose of that is smooth out the air flow prior to entering the actual cyclone, thus improving its efficiency.

I used 7" straight metal pipe for a few feet and the reduced to 6" pvc using custom 7x6 reducer made by Oneida. The 6" PVC fits perfectly into the smaller side of the reducer and the metal pipe fits perfect on the larger side.

The straight pipe I connected to the inlet was a little tighter than I expected and took some force to get it in, but it's definitely not going anywhere.

Ditto the big 7"....but in my case, about 6' total, both straight and not before transitioning to 6" at a 7x6x6 lateral.

I have anywhere from 3' to 7' of 7" before transitioning to 6". The first 2' connected to the cyclone is straight, after that it heads off in just about every direction.
