Quick question and I need some help:
I'm new to laser engraving and I purchased a Chinese 50w laser from a family. The person who previously used the laser passed away and the family had everything except the following:
1) focus lens ruler
2) software disk

How can I get a copy of Laserworks and a focus lens ruler?
The manufacturer has been no help since I did not buy the machine directly from them.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

A focus ruler can be made by placing a substrate on the bed at a angle or wedge shape... Make sure the head clears.. Draw a line to burn on the board and the up hill of the board will pass through the focus point at some time. Remember the laser beam is sort of like two pyrimids placed point to point. Where the tightest beam is where the 2 points meet

Then make a focus stick... At some point you may actually focus slightly inside the carved or cut so the max power is in inside the cut.

Learn about cleaning the Mirrors and Lens... You can damage both if they are dirty. Mirrors SCRATCH and damage easy... The Reflective Surface is on the front on most... Nothing like a bathroom mirror.

You came to the right place.... Good Luck.

Software.. not a clue..
