Hello - What I've got here is a 9 dollar antique shop find, so if we figure out that it's junk, I won't be too upset.
It's a rather small hand plane. Roughly four and a half inches long and an inch and a half wide.
Here's the thing that's throwing me - it bulges in the middle. Mid-body of the plane is 1/8th of an inch wider than either end.
It's also drilled and tapped for a (missing) knob. It's so small, I can't see that a knob would be useful at all. Maybe I just have a children's toy?
But if that's the case, the children of yesteryear obviously got way cooler toys, because it has a blade that I could probably sharpen pretty well.
Any ideas what this "bulging waist" plane might be? If it's just junk, or a toy, I'll use it for decor somehow...
