I have a bottle of Cermark that is slowly drying up. Anyone know what should be added to keep it from doing so? Denatured ethyl alcohol?

I use dna. Be sure to stir it well rather than shaking it when you're ready to use it.

Seconded for DNA...I put a split key ring in our jars years ago to "rattle it up" when I shake it....clumps not an issue.

Worst case if you add too much, you just let it dry out a little.

if you need to slow down the drying, try a little benzyl alcohol. That's often used
as a retarder because it is slower to evaporate. DNA flashes off rather quickly.
This is also good for people who hate shellac because it dries before they can
get it to level out.
